Privacy policy
Summary policy for this product concept. A final version will be prepared with legal counsel before public launch.
What we collect
- From contributors: the account used to sign in — the provider and its account identifier, and an email address where the provider gives one — and the content of the evaluation. We do not accept file uploads, so we hold no documents from contributors.
- With every published evaluation we also record the IP address it was sent from, the browser's user-agent string, and the time. We keep these because we do not verify email addresses: they are what allows us to answer a valid disclosure request about a specific contribution, and they are the only means by which a contributor could be identified. They are never displayed to anyone.
- From anyone who uses the report or dispute form: the name, role, company and email address entered on that form, so that we can reply and so that a company's response can be attributed.
- From readers: an email address if an account is created, and basic access logs.
- We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used and whether our advertising reaches anyone. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google the pages you view, an approximate location from your IP address, and your device type. It is not linked to your account or to anything you have written here, and we never send it the content of an evaluation.
- We do not require your name, your employer's name, or a payment method to contribute.
What we publish
- The evaluation text, the nine scores, and the engagement attributes you provide.
- A general contributor category — for example "web development studio" — never your name or your company's name.
Legal requests
- Contributor information is not public.
- Where required by a valid legal request from a court, law-enforcement authority, or other competent body, we may provide information to the extent legally required.
- Where we are permitted to do so, we will tell the contributor before we respond to such a request.
Your choices
- You can ask us to delete your evaluation and your account at any time.
- You can ask for a copy of the data held about you.
- Requests reach us at the contact address published in the footer.
If you are in the United States
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is no advertising pixel on this site.
- We use Google Analytics for measurement only. Google Signals — which would associate a visit with a signed-in Google account — is switched off on our property.
- Residents of California and of other states with comparable laws may ask us what personal information we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, and ask for a copy. We will not treat you differently for asking.
- Requests reach us at the contact address published in the footer. We answer them the same way whatever state you are in.
- This service is for people acting in a business capacity. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
