Company information is based on published SEC data. Scores and reviews appear only after a genuine contribution is published.

How scores are calculated

The calculation is deliberately plain. Nothing is weighted by popularity, and no score is boosted or suppressed by us.

The criterion average

  • Each evaluation rates nine criteria from 1 to 5.
  • A company's score for a criterion is the unweighted mean of every published evaluation for that criterion.
  • Scores are shown to one decimal place, and are not rounded up.

The overall score

  • The overall score is the mean of the nine criterion averages, so no single criterion dominates.
  • It is never shown without the number of evaluations behind it.
  • A company with fewer than three published evaluations shows the individual reviews but no overall score.

Recency

  • The last-12-months figure is calculated from evaluations posted in the previous twelve months only.
  • The trend chart shows six-month averages so that a company's direction is visible, not only its position.
  • Older evaluations are kept and remain readable; they are never silently deleted.

What we do not do

  • We do not rank companies against each other or publish leaderboards.
  • We do not allow a company to pay for a higher position, a removed review, or a hidden score.
  • We do not estimate scores for criteria a contributor did not rate.

Contributor information is not public. Where required by a valid legal request from a court, law-enforcement authority, or other competent body, we may provide information to the extent legally required.
